The "Grape-off" tasting - Thursday 18th July

We've been saving up for this one, which will be our last big tasting of the Summer. Do let us know if you have any suggestions for the Autumn. So far the most commonly requested themes are: beer, cider, cheese, cheese and more cheese!

For the grape-off tasting we will juxtapose two "similar but different" wines to really enhance the subtleties of each. We've picked two of the same grapes, generally produced using similar methods, but from different regions and vintages. We'll be focusing on five of our favourites: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah, with wines from France, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Chile and the UK.

The format will be similar to normal, with everyone welcome from 5-9pm, with all of the wines available to taste, buy by the glass or take away at a discounted price. If you can't make it on Thursday, we will have plenty left over for the weekend, with wines continuing to be poured throughout the Summer.

We look forward to seeing you then.

Santé!
